Minister’s Initiatives
Hon. Linda Obenewaa Akweley Ocloo, the Greater Accra Regional Minister, has announced initiatives to improve sanitation:
- Reintroduction of National Sanitation Day: Observed on the last Friday of each month to encourage proper waste management.
- Cleanest City Award: To promote a competitive and responsible approach to environmental cleanliness.
- Strengthening Waste Management Departments: Enhancing the capacities of sanitation departments within Metropolitan, Municipal, and District Assemblies (MMDAs) for improved efficiency.
